The Story of NateArticle hollister france Summary: A heartwarming story about two friends who spread laughter to the world. These two friends will pull at your heart and make you feel something you have never felt before.
Josh wiped his tired eyes. He has been driving for days across country. The Arizona desert seemed to go on forever. Trying to focus his eyes, he squinted out into the distance, it looked like something was off the side of the road up ahead. The closer he got to it the more curious he became. Josh pulled his semi off to the side of the road.
"I will just stretch my legs for a while" Josh said as he stretched and climbed out of the driver's side of the semi. He walked over to the strange object. To Josh's surprise it looked like a lever. Confused Josh looked around, expecting a camera crew to come out saying they were getting people's reactions to this random lever Let Customers Find You With These Online Marketing Tips - written by Gilbert Cardenas Jr on film. However, no one was around. Just him and his big rig.
"So I wonder," pondered Josh as he reached for the handle of the lever. He attempted to pull the lever and found it was heavier than he thought. Using both hands he prepared himself to pull the lever.
"Sssstop!"
The hiss caught josh off guard and he let go of hollister the lever with a little bit of a jump.
"Hello?" Josh looked hollister outlet sale around in confusion. Just then a snake slithered up and looked at Josh. Josh blinked his eyes.
"Surely, that snake isn't looking at me," he said in disbelief.
"Of course I am."
Stunned, Josh rubbed his eyes and looked around again. The snake still stared at him. He started to laugh a little nervously and looked around again, waiting for the camera crew to jump out and tell him he was on abercrombie pas cher "Candid Camera" or something.
"This is no laughing matter" said the Snake.
"Of course it is! You are a talking snake...someone is playing a trick on me. Hahahaha! You got me, you can come out now." Josh began to stagger backwards as if to give the imaginary camera crew room to jump out from nowhere.
"Yes, I am a talking snake. You are very observant. I am Nate. I have been place on this earth, in this desert, next to this lever for a reason. You see, if anyone happens to pull this lever, like you almost did, it would destroy the world." Nate slithered and coiled himself around the lever while still staring at Josh.
"Of course it would. There is no reason why it wouldn't destroy the world, and no reason why you wouldn't be a talking snake named Nate." Josh thought about this last detail for a few seconds while Nate seemed to be looking straight into his eyes.
"Wait a second. You are a talking snake!"
"Again, very observant."
"We could make a lot of money you know? We could tour the US. Hell! We could tour the world! A talking snake, that's just fan-freaking-tastic. What do you say Nate?"
Nate could tell that Josh was serious. He shook his head.
"What?! Why not?! Did I mention 'lots of money'? Not really sure what a snake would do with money, but dang! I would love the money! Come on!" Josh got closer to the Nate while he stayed coiled up on the lever.
"I cannot leave this lever Mr. umm..."
"Josh, my name is Josh."
"Mr. Josh..."
"No, just Josh."
"Just Josh, I cannot leave."
"Uhg! Josh, not Just Josh, Josh."
"Ok, no need to get angry Josh." Nate Hissed. "I simply cannot leave. Did you not hear what I said about the lever?"
Josh nodded his head and thought for a couple seconds. Suddenly he started to shake his head.
"No one comes through here ever! I know the truck routes. Out of the five years I have been doing this job, this is the first time I have ever come through here. Surely no one will pull the lever if you leave for a year or so. That is still a lot of money. Think of what all we could do! Ventriloquist acts, duets, strange tap dances...Think of the options!" Josh was excited. Nothing this unusual had ever happened to him or anyone else as far as he knew. Nate sat silently for a few minutes. Finally he made his way back down the lever and climbed up Josh. Unsure what to do, Josh stood there until Nate made it up by his head and positioned himself so his head was in front of Josh's nose. Nate flipped his tongue out, it tickled Josh's nose.
"Fine, to help you achieve the ultimate greediness of any and all humans I will leave my post. But if anyone pulls the lever and destroys the world, you will have to answer to a higher authority." Nate let out a hiss and opened his mouth just enough so Josh could see some of his fangs.
"A higher authority? You, sitting on my head?" He let out a small chuckle. "Plus, maybe whoever does pull the lever will have great travel insurance so it won't matter!" Nate was not amused by Josh's insensitive jokes. Josh cleared his throat. "So, let's get this show on the road!"
The two of them climbed in the semi and began to talk about what exactly their little shows would consist of. Nate wanted to of course warn people about the dangers of pulling the lever in the middle of the Arizona desert, but Josh wouldn't allow it for part of their act.
"This has to be a fun comedic and spectacular show. Stop trying to make it all doom and gloom! We need some jokes to tell! Something that is sure to make people laugh!" Josh and Nate sat there silently for a few minutes.
"Well, alright then. What types of jokes to you think we should tell? Apparently you already have something in mind since you won't let me give my input." Nate hissed as he curled up tight.
"Oh, come on, don't be like that." Josh said annoyed. "Anyways, we could tell some classic bar jokes! Like: A string walked into a bar and the bar tender said 'Hey, get out of here! We don't serve your kind here!' So the string, all sad and dejected goes outside then starts fidgeting and pulling himself into all sorts of ways until he becomes a knot. Finally he walks back into the bar and sits down. The bar tender goes 'Aren't you that same string I told to get out?' and the string responds, 'No, I'm a frayed knot!'" Josh laughs. "Get it?!"
Nate looks at him emotionless. "Oh, those kinds of jokes...ok..."
Annoyed hogan sito ufficiale again, Josh replies, "come on, those types of jokes are classic! As a matter of fact, that's our opening joke!"
They both go silent and eventually talk about the rest of their act and come to an agreement even though Nate is unimpressed by some of the corny jokes and some of the bad jokes like: A boy comes out of surgery and tells the doctor "Doctor, I can't feel my legs!" and the doctor goes "Well, that's because we amputated your arms."
Josh and Nate came up with a simple name for their show: Awesome. 'Awesome' showed not only in Las Angeles, New York, Michigan, Seattle, Miami, Houston, Chicago, and Vegas, but it also was in Tulsa, Atlanta, Detroit, New Orleans, and Kansas City. peuterey o The show was a big hit no matter where they went they were even asked if they would extend it to a worldwide tour. After louboutin pas cher some convincing that no one was going to destroy the world for another year or so, Nate agreed and they continued their tour. barbour france paris Nate had never been out of Arizona, let alone the United States, and Josh was excited to travel overseas since he had already driven across the US before. They toured to Cairo, Egypt, Paris, France, London, England, Munich, Germany, and Tokyo, Japan. Since Nate and Josh were so personable to just about everyone they met they also decided to go to Brazil, Chile, Panama, Djibouti, Sydney, and Johannesburg.
Finally, the show made its way back to the US for its final stretch of the tour. The continued by going to Tallahassee, Boston, Des Moines, Salem, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, and then to Phoenix. They both decided peuterey outlet that ending in Phoenix was probably the best option since Nate had been away from the lever so long. On the way back to that small stretch of highway where the lever sat, they discussed their times having traveled across the US to so many memorable places like New York, Vegas, Orlando, Nashville, and Austin.
Josh began to get a little choked up when he saw the lever up ahead, knowing that these were their last moments together. Nate nike air jordan pas cher realized this without Josh having to say a word. He slithered over to Josh's lap and wrapped himself around Josh giving him the closest thing to a hug for the rest of the trip. Josh pulled over to the side of the road and got out or the semi with Nate still wrapped around him. By now he had pulled himself back together and wasn't as upset as he was a while ago. Nate gave one last squeeze of his long hug and slithered back down Josh.
"I will...I will miss you." Josh said calmly.
"I will miss you too." Nate replied. "I will always value your friendship and remember jordan Ken Garff The Best Service Provider of GMC's Vehicles and Related Services all of your wonderful jokes like: What's a ghot's favorite food? Gouhlaush. You have been very kind to me during these past years and I would love to do Awesome 2.0, but as you know, I have been away from my post too long."
Josh nodded and bent down and patted Nate's head, and then he stood back up and walked back to the truck. Nate knew what Josh moncler sito ufficiale was thinking, and he didn't have to say anything. They both had bonded quite a lot over the past few years, and they knew at some point they would see each other again.
Life went back to normal for the two of them. Josh went back to work for the small delivery company and Nate kept a watchful eye on the lever. They both remembered their times fondly and hoped to see their friend again soon.
Three years later, Josh was sent on another cross country delivery that had him going through Arizona again. He thought back to that first day he had met Nate, and the adventures they both had. As his thoughts wandered, he smiled. A strange rumbling brought Josh back to reality from his memories of Nate, he saw in front of him the lever, and was going to hit it. He quickly looked around, he could swerve and miss it, but he saw Nate sitting there. Josh knew he was going too fast to come to a nice stop and not hit the lever or his friend Nate. Quickly, he made a decision and turned the wheel and hit his breaks.
As soon as the dust cleared from the stirring of all the sand, and Josh was at a complete stop, he jumped out of the cab of moncler sito ufficiale the semi and ran to his friend Nate the snake that could not move. Josh was hysterical as he held his best friend.
"Nate! Nate, I am so sorry! Please, please forgive me!" Josh cried out with tears streaming down his face.
"It...is ok Josh; I understand...you did what you had to...do..." Nate continued to say something but Josh couldn't understand what he was saying. Nate finally went limp in Josh's hands. Josh laid down his friend, still crying. He didn't understand why Nate had to be sitting where he was, Josh could have missed him if he was just a little further out.
After sitting in silence mourning his friend, Josh begins to dig a small grave next to the lever so his friend could always protect the lever. Josh buried his friend and even found a rock in which he engraved something so that people would always know about his friend Nate the snake: "Better Nate than Lever."
